SUMMARY:Seminar on Arithmetic Geometry
DESCRIPTION:Vukašin Mihajlović (Darmstadt): Central Sheaves for Ramified Groups \nOne of the main obstacles with trying to transfer classical results in geometric representation theory to the language of motives is the lack of a good notion of t-structure on the full category DM which would play the role of the perverse t-structure in the classical setting. However\, when the spaces considered have stratifications with a nice enough geometry\, one can still formulate some results motivically by restricting our category of motivic sheaves to certain nice subcategories\, like those of Tate or Artin-Tate motives. However\, these subcategories don’t automatically inherit the good categorical properties of DM\, as they are not stable under the six operations. Here is where one needs to prove\, by looking into the geometry of our problem more carefully\, that the functors of interest to our setup do indeed preserve these subcategories. In this talk\, we will do this for the case of the central functor applied to the BD Grassmannian of a twisted group. \nZoom (635 7328 0984\, Kenncode: kleinste sechsstellige Primzahl)

SUMMARY:Seminar on Arithmetic Geometry
DESCRIPTION:Yanik Kleibrink (Darmstadt): Period Maps from Log Prismatic Realization Functors \nI will start by surveying the recent development of logarithmic prismatic cohomology by Koshikawa and Yao that extends the original work by Bhatt and Scholze. In particular\, I will introduce the logarithmic prismatic realization functor for toroidal compactifications of integral canonical models of Shimura varieties of Hodge type constructed by Inoue\, which extends the realization functor of Imai\, Kato\, and Youcis. Using this realization functor\, I will present work-in-progress concerning the definition of a mod \(p\)-period map of the special fiber of an integral canonical model of Shimura variety of Hodge type to the stack of \(G\Zip\)s. Ideally\, this construction coincides with an existing construction by Goldring and Koskivirta and enables the usage of prismatic methods in the study of Ekedahl-Oort strata. \nZoom (635 7328 0984\, Kenncode: kleinste sechsstellige Primzahl)

SUMMARY:Oberseminar Algebra und Geometrie
DESCRIPTION:Menelaos Zikidis (University of Pittsburgh): Joyce Structures on Moduli of Quadratic Differentials \nAbstract: Joyce Structures are the output of Bridgeland’s largely conjectural program aiming to encode the DT- invariants of triangulated CY3 categories in a geometric structure over their space of stability conditions\, akin to Frobenius structures in GW-theory. In this talk I will concentrate on the main class of examples we can currently construct a Joyce structure\, namely on certain categories associated to quivers with potential. In those cases\, the space of stability conditions becomes the moduli of meromorphic quadratic differentials on wild algebraic curves and Joyce structures arise as isomonodromy connections on a space parametrising irregular parabolic Higgs bundles and flat connections\, a model resembling a complexification of the Hitchin system. These structures naturally give rise to a class of complex Hyperkähler manifolds and admit a twistor space description. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Oberseminar Algebra und Geometrie
DESCRIPTION:Remy van Dobben de Bruyn (MPI for Mathematics\, Bonn): A condensed proof of the étale and pro-étale exodromy correspondences \nAbstract: The category of locally constant étale sheaves on a scheme is controlled by the étale fundamental group\, via the monodromy correspondence. Following ideas of MacPherson\, this was upgraded to an “exodromy correspondence” for constructible étale sheaves by Barwick\, Glasman\, and Haine in 2018. While the statement is purely algebro-geometric\, their proof ventures deep into higher topos theory. I will present a direct geometric proof via condensed mathematics.

SUMMARY:Cartier Crystals and dual-constructible p-torsion complexes
DESCRIPTION:Kay Rülling (Universität Wuppertal) \nAbstract:\nOn noetherian F-finite \F_p-schemes\, the class of constructible étale \Z/p^n-sheaves contains the constant sheaf \Z/p^n and is stable under higher direct images along proper maps.\nContrary to the \ell-torsion situation the twisted sheaves \Z/p^n(j) are not constructible.\nIn this talk we introduce dual constructible p-torsion complexes\, which contain only the top twisted sheaves\, are stable under higher direct images along arbitrary separated morphisms of finite type\, and are dual under Kato duality to the constructible complexes of \Z/p^n-sheaves. The proof uses a Riemann-Hilbert style equivalence between the derived category of Cartier crystals introduced by Blickle-Böckle and the category of dual constructible complexes\, which by an argument involving Grothendieck and Kato-duality is reduced to a version of the classical Riemann-Hilbert Theorem for \F_p-sheaves by Emerton-Kisin and Böckle-Pink. This is joint work with Jefferson Baudin.

SUMMARY:AGTZ Kolloquium
DESCRIPTION:Damián De La Fuente (Uni Heidelberg) \nOn lower Bruhat Intervals in affine Weyl groups\nThe Bruhat order on a Weyl group arises naturally from geometry\, through inclusion relations among Schubert varieties\, but it can also be defined combinatorially in the broader context of Coxeter systems. It is of major importance in Kazhdan-Lusztig theory\, serving to define the remarkable Kazhdan-Lusztig basis and polynomials. Many fundamental questions about this partial order remain open; for instance\, the combinatorial invariance conjecture asserts that Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials are entirely determined by the poset structure of the underlying Bruhat intervals. \nIn this talk we will focus on the study of lower Bruhat intervals (starting from the identity) for the case of affine Weyl groups and\, specifically\, on calculating their size. First\, I will describe certain lower intervals by decomposing them in terms of lattice points in permutohedra. In turn\, we will deduce a polynomial counting formula for the size of such intervals\, expressed as a linear combination of the volumes of the faces of this polytope. Secondly\, we will aim to generalize these results to almost all lower intervals: those arising from the lowest two-sided Kazhdan-Lusztig cell. The main object of study will be what we call “Paper Boat” sets\, which will serve as fundamental building blocks for these lower intervals. This work is part of an on-going collaboration with Federico Castillo\, Nicolás Libedinsky and David Plaza.

SUMMARY:Seminar on Arithmetic Geometry
DESCRIPTION:Sean Cotner (University of Bonn): On the Fargues-Scholze local Langlands correspondence for Yu’s supercuspidals \nThere are several different approaches to the local Langlands\ncorrespondence\, which can be roughly grouped as “classical”\, “explicit”\,\nand “geometric”. Each of these has its own useful features\, and it is\nexpected that they all ultimately yield the same correspondence\, but this\nis far from clear. There has been a lot of work by many people comparing\nthe classical and geometric approaches\, and some partial work comparing\nthe other two pairs of approaches. I will discuss recent joint work with\nTony Feng which is focused on comparing the explicit and geometric\napproaches due to Kaletha and Fargues–Scholze\, respectively. Roughly\, we\nproceed by induction on the semisimple rank to reduce to the case of tori\,\nwhere the two approaches are known to agree. The main recent tools making\nthis argument possible are Feng’s modular functoriality and Scholze’s\nindependence of \ell. \nZoom (635 7328 0984\, Kenncode: kleinste sechsstellige Primzahl)

SUMMARY:AGTZ Kolloquium
DESCRIPTION:Matteo Montagnani (Mainz) \nGeometric properties of analytic categories of sheaves \nIn algebraic geometry\, it is a well-established practice to study geometric properties of algebraic varieties through the study of certain categories of sheaves. For instance\, smooth algebraic varieties can be intrinsically characterized using Kontsevich’s notion of a smooth category. In this talk\, we discuss the key obstacles to adapting this categorical perspective to analytic geometry\, where classical sheaf-theoretic and tensor-product operations are not well-behaved. We then show how the framework of condensed mathematics\, introduced by Clausen and Scholze\, can be used to categorically characterize geometric properties of (rigid) analytic spaces.

Under mild conditions\, Bhatt proves the existence of an equivalence of $\infty$-categories \n\[\nD(A)\cong D(\hat{A}_f)\times_{D(\hat{A}_f[1/f])} D(A[1/f])\,\n\]\nwhich restricts to an equivalence of Categories\, originally proven by Beauville and Laszlo\,\n\[\n\textrm{Mod}(A)\cong \textrm{Mod}(\hat{A}_f)\times_{\textrm{Mod}(\hat{A}_f[1/f])} \textrm{Mod}(A[1/f]).\n\]\nTo remedy the absence of a category of quasi-coherent sheaves on discretely ringed adic space\, we prove a similar equivalence on the derived category of solid modules over analytic rings\, introduced by Clausen and Scholze\n\[\nD((A\,A^+)_\solid)\cong D((\hat{A}_f\,\hat{A}_f^+)_\solid)\times_{D((\hat{A}_f[1/f]\,\hat{A}_f^+[1/f])_\solid)} D((A[1/f]\,A^+[1/f])_\solid).\n\]\nWe conjecture a similar result holds for a category of “analytically coherent $\mathcal{O}^+$ modules” denoted by $\mathcal{C}^+(X)$ on a discretely ringed adic space $X$: We prove the result when $A=A^+$ is a dvr and $f$ is a uniformizer.

SUMMARY:Local-global compatibility at p of automorphic Galois representations over CM fields
DESCRIPTION:Dmitri Whitmore (University of Cambridge) \nAbstract:\nThe Langlands programme predicts a correspondence between automorphic forms and Galois representations. A key expectation is local-global compatibility\, which relates this global correspondence to the local Langlands correspondence. For regular algebraic cuspidal automorphic representations over CM fields\, associated p-adic Galois representations have been constructed\, but establishing this compatibility at primes above p has remained an important open problem. \nIn this talk\, I will discuss joint work with Lambert A’Campo\, Bence Hevesi\, and Jack Thorne establishing local-global compatibility at p up to semisimplification. As a consequence\, the associated Galois representations are geometric. I will discuss applications to new cases of the adjoint Bloch–Kato Selmer vanishing conjecture and outline how we remove the hypotheses on the mod p Galois representations required by previous approaches to local-global compatibility.

SUMMARY:Seminar on Arithmetic Geometry
DESCRIPTION:Chirantan Chowhury (TU Darmstadt): Fundamental groups of proper algebraic stacks are finitely presented \nThe question of topological finite presentation of etale fundamental groups for proper schemes over algebraically closed fields of positive characteristic\, raised by Grothendieck\, remained open until recently. It was resolved for smooth projective varieties by Esnault\, Shusterman and Srinivas. Lara\, Srinivas and Stix have extended this result to connected proper schemes. In this talk\, I present my joint work with Ludvig Modin\, in which we extend this result to algebraic stacks. In particular\, we show that for connected proper algebraic stacks with finite inertia over an algebraically closed field\, the etale fundamental group\, as introduced by Noohi\, is topologically finitely presented. \nZoom (635 7328 0984\, Kenncode: kleinste sechsstellige Primzahl)

SUMMARY:Seminar on Arithmetic Geometry
DESCRIPTION:Fabian Schnelle (University of Münster): Igusa stacks for certain abelian-type Shimura varieties \nIgusa stacks are objects of p-adic geometry that are supposed to interpolate Igusa varieties and help to analyze the cohomology of Shimura varieties from the vantage point of the categorical local Langlands correspondence. In this talk\, I will discuss the construction of Igusa stacks for certain abelian-type Shimura varieties that naturally arise from a PEL datum and are associated with the Weil restriction of an F-group\, for F a totally real number field. For this construction\, we leverage the existence of certain hybrid spaces that serve as a bridge between PEL-type and abelian-type Shimura varieties. \nZoom (635 7328 0984\, Kenncode: kleinste sechsstellige Primzahl)

SUMMARY:Seminar on Arithmetic Geometry
DESCRIPTION:Marco D’Addezio (IRMA Strasbourg): Edged crystalline cohomology \nCrystalline and rigid cohomology are the two classical p-adic cohomology theories for varieties in characteristic p\, and each has its limits. Crystalline cohomology is integral and works well for smooth proper varieties\, but it is badly behaved for open or singular ones. Rigid cohomology works for all varieties\, but only with rational coefficients\, and some of its functorial properties are hard to reach. In this talk I will introduce edged crystalline cohomology\, a new theory that interpolates between the two. After recalling both and their trade-offs\, I will sketch its construction using marked schemes. I will then explain how it applies to the problem of higher direct images in rigid cohomology\, known as Berthelot’s conjecture. \nZoom (635 7328 0984\, Kenncode: kleinste sechsstellige Primzahl)
